"Right away it was something I wanted to work hard at, and it was something
I was good at. I liked how much you can do on the gym wheel, and I liked that
people hadn't really seen it very much. So there was a real wow factor."
"It just clicked," Jack said. "Right away
it was something I wanted to work hard at,
and it was something I was good at. I liked
how much you can do on the gym wheel, and
I liked that people hadn't really seen it very
much. So there was a real wow factor."
These days, he trains about two to three
hours after school at Bientzle's gym when he
is not working with kids, preparing for a
show, or helping with homework at CircEsteem.
"It is a nice contrast. The gym wheel is my
sport. It's very competitive. CircEsteem is my
community. It's fun. It's social, and I get to
help other kids."
Both have opened doors and introduced
him to countless opportunities, including
auditioning for "America's Got Talent" and
meeting Jon Stewart during an appearance
on Nickelodeon's "Figure it Out," as well
as touring the country for performances,
traveling to Germany to compete and
most recently writing, producing and
choreographing a show at CircEsteem.
He hopes to translate what he has learned
along the way to one day creating his own
performance art like the Blue Man Group
or Cirque du Soleil.
"I could have never imagined all the
experiences I've had when I started this
in kindergarten," said Jack. "It's been an
amazing adventure."
