ALUMNI
National Latin Day
On April 11, we celebrated the second annual
National Latin Day, a chance for alumni to
celebrate their connections and tip their hats
to their alma mater. Alumni wore their Latin
colors, wrote notes to teachers and coaches,
posted shout-outs on Facebook and met up
at alumni-affiliated restaurants, coffeehouses
and bars in Chicago and Cambridge, MA.
Many thanks to Chicago venues Ay Chiwowa,
Eduardo's Enoteca, Frankie's Scallopine &
Pizza, Harry Caray's, Rockit Bar & Grill,
Rockit Burger Bar, Stanley's Kitchen & Tap,
Sunda, and Tortoise Club, as well as Puritan
& Company in Cambridge for being a part of
this year's festivities.

L AT I N M AGAZINE
As a special evening addition to the
celebration, producer Bill Horberg '76 brought
his about-to-be released film Disconnect to
Chicago for a special preview screening
benefiting the Gregory R. Baker Endowed
Memorial Scholarship Fund. Randall Dunn
and Gail Connelly-Baker welcomed the
audience of alumni, current and past faculty,
family and friends. Local film critic Jonathan
Miller '76 moderated discussion with Bill
following the screening, where the audience
learned about the trajectory of making the film
and Greg Baker's influence on Bill's work. Thanks
to everyone who was able to be there to
support the Greg Baker Fund and Bill's movie.
