CLASS NOTES 2000 Lindsay Hagan Bradford Hanan Milicia Marcetic Kelly Cameron Newton In February, Cassidy Freeman guest-starred in the ABC series "Once Upon A Time," playing Jacqueline (Jack for short) in the episode "Jacqueline and the Beanstalk." Cassidy writes: "Come the end of March, I will head back to Santa Fe, NM to eat blue corn tortillas and film Season 2 of 'Longmire' on A&E network. I guess we kicked enough butt last season that we got bumped up to 13 episodes! Those won't start airing untill closer to June, but I just wanted you guys to be able to prepare your summer for some lawbending sheriff-ridden fun." Jesse and Kelly Cameron Newton '00 welcomed their daughter Isabella Marion early on January 7, 2013. She weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 19 inches. They are delighted about the new addition and look forward to introducing her to other Class of 2000 babies soon. We are saddened to report that Sadath Garcia passed away on January 9, 2013 in a tragic accident. Sadath served as a class representative, reunion planner and the Scholarship Dinner 2008 keynote speaker, among numerous other Latin alumni volunteer positions. A frequent attendee at alumni events across the country, we will miss him dearly. Our condolences to his parents, brothers and their families, and his many friends. Please see the tribute included in this issue of Latin Magazine. Jen Burdick, Jennifer Bernstein, Jyotsna Bhattacharya and Erica Esser reunited April 6 -7 to catch up and remember Sadath. Erica writes: "We met in Philadelphia at Jen and her husband Keith Doughty's home. Jyotsna and Jenny came in from New York City, and I flew in from Stevens Point, WI. Despite the sad circumstances, it was great all being together again, the first time since 2000!" Class of '00 friends Jyotsna Bhattacharya, Jennifer Bernstein, Jen Burdick and Erica Esser spent some quality time together in Philadelphia in April.
