Parents Planting the Seeds
Student Action
This winter, plastic drink bottles disappeared from Latin's middle school
cafeteria. Stickers stating: "Help conserve energy. Please turn off lights,"
appeared on light switches. In one of the science labs, students were
beginning to collect data from the school's recently installed solar panels.
Plans were under way for the spring plantings on the middle school green
roof. And an environmental sustainability firm was compiling results of the
energy audit it had conducted at Latin.
