This beloved tradition showcased the spirit and
generosity of the Latin community. The highlight of
the pre-dinner program at school was hearing
directly from an alum who was a recipient of
financial aid at Latin. The alumni speaker was Sadaf
Jaffer '01 who is a graduate of both High Jump and
Latin. Her amazing post-Latin journey includes
becoming the first South Asian woman to serve as
mayor in the state of New Jersey and the first
Muslim woman to serve as mayor in the United
States. Thank you to our dedicated co-chairs,
Carrie & Matt Parr and Shaila & Nikhil Verma, tireless
volunteers, generous sponsors, gracious dinner
hosts, 860 event guests and everyone who made
the night one to remember.
Together,
we raised more
than $1.6 million
for financial aid.
