Connect with Alumni! facebook.com/latinalumni LatinSchoolChicago @latinalumni connectlatinschool.org 1943 Roberta "Bobby" Folonie Schuetz passed away peacefully on October 18, 2019, surrounded by loved ones at Memorial Medical Center. After graduating from the Girls Latin School of Chicago, she achieved degrees in art and literature. Bobby eventually settled in southern Illinois, where her husband and she lived on a horse and cattle farm. She was involved in the Women's Athletic Club in Chicago, was a district commissioner for the United States Pony Club and a was fire warden in Union County, IL. We extend our condolences to her son, Ernst Von Meerwall '59. 1949 Peter Barrett Members of the Class of '49 gathered to celebrate our 70th reunion in October. We were a small but mighty group! anks to Peter Barrett for hosting lunch at the Yacht Club. 1950 Save the date for our 70th reunion: October 2-4, 2020. She attended Beverly School of Law. After passing the California bar exam, rather than working for fees, Janet helped people in need with family law issues, including a number of people affected by the AIDS crisis. She loved horses, good grammar, a glass of scotch and literature. We extend our condolences to her sister, Babette Hammerman '48. Class Notes Larry Rayner died on May 5, 2019. Larry joined the U.S. Air Force as a 1st lieutenant in 1954. After graduating from the Air Force Aircraft Maintenance School, he was assigned to Patrick Air Force Base in Florida, now called the Kennedy Space Center. Larry worked in the family business, e Rayner Company, for many years while developing other business interests, including Rayner & Linn Scott, Inc., all related in some way to the forest product industry. We extend condolences to his family and friends. 1953 Robert Gramm passed away peacefully surrounded by his five children on January 14, 2019. Bob moved to Arizona in 1968 to head the Southwest Sales Division of his family's company, Great Lakes Carbon Corporation. After the sale of Great Lakes Carbon, Bob started a printing business, Gramm Graphics. Bob was an accomplished tennis player and held many southwest USTA tennis titles. We extend our condolences to his family and friends. 1954 Our 65th reunion was a great success! anks to Allan Katz for hosting our brunch at the Yacht Club.
