Latin at a glance Enrollment Our student body of more than 1,100 represents approximately 70 zip codes throughout Chicago and its suburbs. Campus & Facilities Latin is an urban campus located adjacent to the 1,212-acre Lincoln Park. This includes: • a lower school building, which houses junior kindergarten (half-day program), senior kindergarten and grades 1-4; a middle school with grades 5-8; • • and an upper school with grades 9-12. Latin's three academic buildings include modern classrooms; science and computer labs; a performing arts wing with a 500-seat theater; gallery space; two libraries; three gymnasiums; a rooftop playground; a swimming pool; photography lab; four art studios and two green roof gardens. The school's location allows students and faculty to utilize Chicago's rich cultural and intellectual resources. Class Size An average of 14 in the upper school; 18 in the middle school; 21 in the lower school. Faculty More than 160 men and women; approximately 80 percent hold advanced degrees in their field.
