CAPTURING A
MOMENT IN TIME
Year after year, students are grateful to
Visual Art Department Chair Betty Lark Ross
for helping them discover and pursue their
passion for photography during their time
at Latin. There are many opportunities for
students to observe life behind the lens and
display their work, including Photography
Club, numerous photography classes and
Independent Study Projects (ISPs), as well
as yearbook photography, senior exhibitions
in Gallery 2 and VIDI photography magazine.
In addition, many students have been
recognized regionally and nationally for their
work by the Scholastic Awards, which best
exemplify originality, technical skill and the
emergence of a personal voice or vision.
