Events Regional Events Latin in Boston & NYC e fall rain (and snow!) didn't keep Boston and NYC Romans from gathering. In October, Romans united at Puritan & Company for a terrific evening of cocktails and conversations, featuring Hal Scott '61, Emeritus Nomura Professor of International Financial Systems at Harvard Law School, and Ming-Tai Huh '98, Director of Partnerships, Toast, Inc. and co-owner of Puritan & Company. In November, more than 60 NYC-area Romans gathered at Geary Contemporary with Head of School Randall Dunn and faculty member Ingrid Dorer Fitzpatrick for a great evening. anks to Ken Ebie '97, Renée Edelman '73 and Krizia Lopez '09 for their thoughtful remarks, and to Dolly Bross Geary '95 for hosting us at her gallery! Young Alumni Holiday Party As always, we kicked off the holiday season with our down-the-street rivals at the annual Young Alumni Holiday Party! anks to Billy Dec '90 for having us at e Underground and to host Marissa Weiss '13. College Romans Networking Lunch On December 20, College Romans learned tactics and strategies for navigating the job/internship search with Susan Newman, founder of School2Life coaching. Attendees then put their new skills to the test by networking in small groups with seasoned alumni experts who helped brainstorm on next job search and career development steps. Special thanks to our experts: Steve Adolph '84 (program chair), Tanya Bennett '85, Kathryn Cubria '05, Edwin Johnson '03, Lilly Q. Jolly '07, Max Meyers '01, Lili Morales Scales '03, Kelly Davis Seeman '95 and Jackie Shiff '02. Life After Latin Lunches Our Life After Latin Lunch series for upper school students kicked off on August 30 with Dr. Sadaf Jaffer '01, professor of South Asian, Islam and Gender Studies. Jaffer discussed her Ph.D. journey, her recent research and her role as an elected official in New Jersey. On September 28, Brigadier General, Ret. Peter Zwack '72 dined with students and discussed Russian politics, history and the current political climate. On October 3, Senior Mathematician Harry Stern '75 discussed his work for the Polar Science Center, polar bear habitats, Arctic exploration and more. Joanna Drew '06, of Planting Seeds International, joined us for lunch on November 30 and shared her experience living and working in Guatemala to educate and empower local communities while working in partnership to create economic change.
