ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE Give each department the state of the art tools and resources necessary to provide Latin students with unique learning experiences and a hands-on, immersive education. Support technology, athletic equipment, set pieces for the plays, access to scholarly archives and more that benefit every student and faculty member every day. FINANCIAL AID Access and inclusion are central to Latin's identity. Robust financial aid is critical to ensuring economic diversity and attracting talented students regardless of their economic circumstance. Latin will award $4.1 million in Financial Aid for the 2018-2019 academic year and 15% of Latin students receive some level of financial aid. FACULTY SUPPORT Recruit and retain top faculty by ensuring competitive pay and benefits. Provide thoughtful professional development, allowing teachers to grow in their profession and bring that enrichment back to the classroom. G U I D E TO GIVING WHAT IS THE LATIN FUND? The Latin Fund is the school's top fundraising priority. Each year, we ask all families to make a tax-deductible gift that supports current operation of the school during the fiscal year that gift is received. Gifts immediately support our community by providing substantial funding for Academic Excellence, Faculty Support and Financial Aid. Gifts from parents, alumni, Board of Trustees, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff and friends help make this possible. HELP US RAISE $3.38 MILLION this year and enable Latin to sustain a rigorous and innovative curriculum, faculty excellence and an inclusive student body. You enrolled your child in an independent school because you were attracted to the excellent faculty and small class size. You found excellence and your gifts allow you to help sustain it." — The National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Why is it important that I make my commitment before December 31? Since all annual giving donations are used during the academic school year when they are received, your commitment today helps the school better anticipate the total amount that will be raised and utilize funds immediately to benefit all students, faculty, staff and community members. 15% of Latin students receive some level of financial aid.
