This year has been another great one for Latin's exuberant Photography Club. With each new year, the Latin Photography Club works to incorporate as many different approaches and experiences in photography as possible. The 2016-2017 school year was no exception! During the school year, we exposed our club members to everything from light painting to miniatures, sand art to projected imagery photography. Additionally, we focused on street photography by exploring the theme of social justice. By the end of the year, we all learned a lot about unique techniques and sharpened our photography skills. VIDI is the culmination of all we do as photographers at the Latin School of Chicago. The works you will see exhibited here are from students across the school who have found their calling in photography through their classes, our Photo Club, or on a project week with Ms. Ross. Next year, we hand the reins of both VIDI and Photo Club to Hayden Morgan ('19) and Taylor Hurt ('19). They hope that they will remain in these roles for two years. We are optimistic with regards to where they will take our photo program. We cannot wait to see what Photo Club and all of its members can accomplish in the coming years.
